Travel Guide
Leh Ladakh is one of India's most extraordinary travel destinations, known for its high mountain passes, crystal-clear lakes, monasteries, and dramatic landscapes. Due to its extreme altitude and weather conditions, choosing the right season is essential for a safe and enjoyable trip.
For most travelers, the best time to visit Leh Ladakh is between May and September. During these months, roads are open, temperatures are comfortable, and major attractions such as Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley, and Tso Moriri are easily accessible.
June, July, and August are the busiest months because both the Manali-Leh Highway and Srinagar-Leh Highway are generally open. Adventure enthusiasts, bikers, and photographers visit Ladakh in large numbers during this period.
September is often considered one of the best months because the weather remains pleasant, skies are clearer, and tourist crowds begin to decrease. Winter visits are possible but require careful planning because of extreme cold and road closures.
